Automate Simple Administrative Processes
Most organizations have administrative processes and procedures they have continuously asked someone to perform but may be easier and less costly to automate.
If you keep putting this off, but now with the onset of your virtual environment aren’t finding this task as easily done since you are working remotely, there are steps you can put in place to automate all, or part, of the process.
Let’s take a look at three easy areas to get started.
Help your vendors and customers sign up for electronic billing and payment. Organizations that didn’t have this in place when lockdowns occurred, had to have someone go into the office, get checks and deposit them into the bank. And with unknowns constantly lingering, it’s best to have automated processes in place. It takes 15 minutes to get into most systems and it will save time, plus help with a lag in holiday and mail time.
Combine your HRM into a simple HRIS cloud-based process. These have really come a long way in the past five years and are so much easier to use. It allows you to work virtually because you don’t need to be on a server in someone’s office. Many of the companies that offer these will work with you and I can manage getting you up and running, so you simply sit back and wait for the results.
Review your internal purchasing and expense reimbursement processes. Do you have one? Do you have a written policy? Is it consistent throughout? Are people using personal credit cards? Most systems are free to implement and you pay as you use them. This stops any unethical practices and provides a checks and balances system.
If you are expiring down time due to the pandemic, it might be the best time to work on processes so when a return to normal happens, you are set up for success. Let’s connect.
